The anime tracker that's yours

Hanko is an independent tracker for anime and manga: log what you watch and read, rate it your way, see your stats, and get recommendations that dig past the popular stuff. No ads, no feed you didn't ask for, no corporate parent deciding what happens to your watch history.

Independent, on purpose

Hanko runs on its own catalog and its own image hosting — built from legal, public sources — so no third-party API can pull the rug out from under your library. No investors, no crypto schemes, no AI training on your data. If that ever changed, you could take your list and leave (see below) — which is exactly why it won't.

Private by default

Your profile, your friends list, and your activity are private until you switch them on. Social features are opt-in, not an ambush. Individual library entries can be marked private even on a public profile — your comfort watch is your business.

Your data leaves with you

One-click import from AniList or MyAnimeList, and one-click export back out (MAL XML, JSON, or CSV) — free, forever. A tracker should earn your stay, not lock the door.

Built by one person

Hanko is made by a solo developer who tracks anime and reads manga too — built at a sustainable pace, maintained like it'll be here in ten years. The core tracker is free for everyone; Supporters fund the servers and get the AI recommendations that cost real money to run. That's the whole business model.
